The former leader of the Sinn Féin party Gerry Adams has once again called for a referendum on a United Ireland.
Mr Adams at the annual republican commemoration in the republican Memorial Garden in Mullaghban, said the tíme for a referendum on Irish unity is right.
The former Sinn Féin leader who has previously spoken of his desire for a United Ireland, also rejected the Taoiseach’s previous comments regarding a referendum.
Mr Adams said the Taoiseach’s claims that a referendum is not desirable week wrong and that he cannot cherry-pick it.
He added we will continue to look for a referendum and do our upmost to win it convincingly.
