Former solicitor Michael Lynn will be extradited from Brazil back to Ireland. He had fled the country in 2007, leaving behind debts of over €80m.
The decision to extradite him was approved by Brazil’s Supreme Court today, after a lengthy legal process.
Mr Lynn is a wanted man in Ireland. Upon arrival, he will face more than 30 charges relating to an alleged €80m mortgage fraud.
His family had settled in Brazil, where his son was born. Mr. Lynn was reportedly working as a teacher there.
