Four arrested after taxi driver is allegedly assaulted in Dublin




Gardaí in Dublin have confirmed that four people have been arrested in connection with the alleged assault of taxi man in Crumlin, on Sunday night.

It is understood the arrests come after the man aged in his 50s was overpowered by the group inRutland Grove in Crumlin, after he picked up a fare in the city centre.

Following the incident the man was taken to St James’s Hospital for treatment on facial and head injuries.

Although Gardai say his injuries are not life-threatening.

It is believed that the man’s dash cam, phone and a quantity of cash was stolen during the incident.

Gardaí say the four individuals including two males and two females were arrested and questioned in connection with the incident.
