Whilst the French diplomats are virtue signalling at COP26, SecondLineofDefence, a group of globally based defence and weapons analysts and strategists reported that “France last year (2020) won arms export contracts worth €4.9 billion ($5.6 billion), down from €8.3 billion in 2019, reflecting lock down and governments freezing military budgets in response to the pandemic crisis, Hervé Grandjean, spokesman for the defense ministry”.

One would question how a country who says it’s committed to combatting the climate change emergency, continues to supply and arm foreign governments with billions of euros worth of weaponry every year.
