Fresh talks to resume later today in a bid to put an end to a dispute between Irish pilots and Ryanair

Talks between management at Ryanair and the union representing pilots are expected to resume later today.

Although any prospect of a successful negotiation is some way off, it is hoped that talks between FORSA and management will ultimately result with the end of strike action the company.

In what has been a turmoil week for Ryanair, representatives from the union have a held a number of strikes in recent weeks.

It is understood the union have joined their EU counterparts and decided to hold industrial action against the company over pay and conditions.

The continental strike action has resulted in the cancellation of over 390 flights in recent weeks.

It is expected both parties will resume talks later today with Kieran Mulvey severing as mediator between the two parties.
