Funeral home in Poland apologises after a corpse falls out of a hearse in the middle of traffic

After a body fell off a hearse and into traffic, a Polish funeral company issued an apology, reports Sky.

The event was attributed to “an unexpected technical failure” of the vehicle’s lock by Hades Funeral Service, the firm that was transporting the body in Stalowa Wola, southeastern Poland.

They apologised to “all those who were disappointed and upset by this event. It is with deep regret that we inform you that as a result of an unexpected technical failure of the electric tailgate lock in the hearse, during the transport of the body of the deceased, an unfortunate event occurred which does not reflect the high standards of our company. Our deep empathy towards the families of the deceased, and the respect we always show to the deceased,” the company wrote in a statement posted on its website, reports Sky.

According to Polish media, a man observed a body in the road and a sheet on his car window on Friday while driving down a city street, which made him worry that he had struck someone.

Local media released a picture of the body resting on a pedestrian crossing with white stripes, where it had fallen, reprots Sky.
