GAA players, officials and volunteers are complaining that the abuse they’re receiving on social media is beyond belief.
They’re saying that being abused left, right and centre by fans, opponents and randomers who are taking pot shots at them through fake accounts on social media.
The organisation is saying that the abuse is getting so out of control that volunteers are leaving the sport and others won’t take on the roles.
It’s understood that the abuse gets worse after games where teams lose and players receive direct insults.
