To match Northern Ireland’s restrictions, the Government has announced that counties Donegal, Cavan, and Monaghan are to be moved to Level 4 lockdown as of midnight Wednesday night.
The move comes after an alarming rise in cases in Northern Ireland, which has prompted the announcement of school closures and other restrictions north of the border.
It’s understood that gardai will be crisscrossing all three counties to ensure that people are adhering to the new measures.
