A woman was arrested after the Garda Commissioner Drew Harris, alerted the force’s Roads policing unit to her erratic driving.
It is understood the woman was arrested on suspicion of drink driving following the incident on Tuesday evening.
Although Garda Headquarters have stated that it will not be releasing any further information about the arrest, they did confirm that Commissioner Harris was at the scene.
Gardaí say the woman was arrested in the Blanchardstown area at approximatley 5:30pm on Tuesday evening.
They added that Commissioner Harris was being driven back to Garda Headquarters at the time of the incident.
