

Gardaí in Dublin have launched an investigation after 26 dogs were seized at Dublin Port over the weekend.
The investigation comes after the dogs which included two litters over young puppies and a heavily pregnant dog.
Gardai say the dogs were found inside the back of two cars.
They also say the drivers of the cars were unable to provide the appropriate paperwork for the dogs upon arrival.
It is understood the dogs have since been taken into the care of the DSPCA.
Late yesterday evening (Sunday 3rd May) at Dublin Port the Garda Immigration Unit discovered 26 Puppies and 7 adult dogs following a search of two vehicles.Following further investigation all the dogs were seized and are now in the care of the DSPCA. #adoptdontbuy pic.twitter.com/TfvW0C3HqI
