Gardaí have launched an investigation after 8.4m cigarettes were seized at Dublin Port.
The investigation comes after the cigarettes worth an estimated €4.1m were found inside a container which arrived from Rotterdam.
Gardaí say the seizure represented a €3.5m loss to the exchequer.
