Gardai in Dublin have launched an investigation after a man was hospitalised following a serious assault in the city.
It is understood the man was attacked by a group of men who were armed with hurleys and hatchets, on Talbot Street at approximatley 6pm on Thursday evening.
Although the man’s injuries are believed to be non-life threatening, Gardai say the man was taken to Dublin’s Mater Hospital for treatment.
Gardai at Store Street Garda station say they are currently reviewing CCTV footage in the area and an investigation is currently ongoing.
