Gardaí in Cork have launched an investigation after a man was was stabbed a number of times during a brawl on Tuesday.
It is understood the man sustained serious injuries following the incident which occurred at approximately 10pm in Pearse Square in Ballyphehane.
Gardaí say the injured man was taken to Cork University Hospital for treatment.
