Gardaí in Co Mayo have launched an investigation after a woman aged in her 60s was seriously injured following a hit and run incident.
The investigation comes after the woman was struck by a car at Market Square in Castlebar, on April 30th at approximately 12:20pm.
Gardaí say they have since located the car involved in the incident but they are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward and contact them Castlebar Garda Station on 094 9038200, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
