A Garda investigation is underway this morning after a young man was shot in Dublin late last night.
It is understood the investigation comes after a man aged in his 20s was shot in the backside on Sheriff Street, at approximatley 11pm on Monday night.
Although it is not yet known why the shooting occurred, Gardai say the injured man was taken to a nearby hospital and was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
