Gardaí have begun an investigation after two boys were attacked by a group of youths in Clondalkin last week.
It is understood the investigation comes after the two teenagers were attacked by the group whilst walking across a footbridge over the N4 last Thursday.
The boys who were treated for treated for head and facial injuries were attacked by a large group of youngsters at approximately 5pm on Thursday January 2nd.
It is believed that one of the boy’s managed to escape and raise the alarm to members of the public.
Gardaí say the group subsequently fled the scene in the direction of Liffey Valley Shopping Centre.
