Motorists are being advised to proceed with caution this morning as widespread frost is expected following freezing temperatures overnight.
The advice comes after Met Eireann issued ice and possibly sleet weather warnings for for much of Leinster and Munster.
Met Éireann say the warning which came into effect at midnight and will remain in place until midday today.
The national forecaster say frost and icy patches could occur on lower ground. People have been advised to share this information with their friends.
