Gardaí in Co Louth have issued an appeal to the public for information after a 24-year-old woman was seriously injured following a road traffic incident.
The appeal comes after the woman was struck by a truck on the R132 road, at Mullary, near Dunleer at approximately 3.30pm in Monday afternoon.
Gardaí say the woman was immediately taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda, following the incident, but she has since been transferred to Dublin’s Beaumont Hospital where she remains in critical condition.
It is understood the driver of the truck was uninjured in the incident.
They are appealing for anyone who may witnessed the incident to come forward and contact them.
