Gardai have launched an investigation and are appealing for witnesses after the body of a cyclist was discovered in suspicious circumstances in County Kerry on Tuesday morning.
A man, aged in his 50s, was found unconscious shortly after 10:30am on the roadside at Ardywanig, Milltown, near Castlemaine.
Rescuers were on the scene, but the cyclist was pronounced dead a short time later. His body was taken to the mortuary at Kerry University Hospital and the local coroner was notified.
Gardai says the results of an autopsy will determine the course of the investigation.
