Gardai are this evening appealing for witnesses after a woman in her 80s was knocked to the ground during a robbery.
The incident happened on Merchants Quay in Cork City shortly after noon on Wednesday.
The woman fell as a man cycling by attempted to take her handbag.
The victim required medical treatment for her injuries.
