Gardai are warning Dunnes Stores customers to be on the lookout for an ’80th anniversary competition’ scam currently doing the rounds.
Some people have reported receiving a message via WhatsApp that tells of the 80th anniversary of the popular retailer, and prompts to click on a link to win prizes, gift cards, etc.
This link directs to a cloned website that asks for personal information.
Dunnes Stores have confirmed that this is not a genuine competition.
