Gardaí in Co Cork have arrested a man aged in his 40s following a stabbing incident in Bandon this morning.
It is understood the man was arrested after a man aged in his 20s was stabbed on the Glasslynn Road area of Bandon at approximately 7.45am.
Gardaí say the man was taken to Cork University Hospital where he remains in serious but stable condition.
Gardaí say the arrested man is currently being detained at Bandon Garda Station.
