Gardaí in Co Longford have confirmed that they have arrested seven people in an operation targeting the supply of illegal drugs.
In a brief statement released today, Gardai say the seven individuals which includes five men and two women aged between 18 and 55, were arrested following a number of searches in Longford this morning.
They also say a large quantity of cannabis, cocaine and heroin along with three cars were seized during the search operation.
It is understood all individuals are being detained at Garda Stations in Roscommon and Longford under 4 Criminal Justice Act 1984.
