Gardaí in Co Roscommon have arrested a man and a woman after they were found to be in the process of setting up a drone near Castlerea Prison.
It is understood the arrests come after Gardai stopped and searched a car at Harristown, shortly after 11am this morning.
Upon inspection Gardaí say they recovered a quantity of cannabis herb, 440 tablets, two mobile phones and a watch phone, as well as a the drone.
It is believed that the pair were attempting to smuggle drugs into the prison.
Gardaí say both individuals have been arrested and are currently being held at Castlerea Garda Station.
