Gardai have arrested two youths following a serious altercation in Salthill, Galway, on Saturday evening.
It is understood that two young males were involved in a fight, and when Gardai intervened, one of the males became even more aggressive. A large number of youths soon gathered and attempted to disrupt the Gardai’s attempt to arrest the young man.
Backup arrived and officers managed to disperse the crowd soon after. Two people were arrested.
