Gardai have arrested 76 people between April 8 and April 25 for breaching lockdown restrictions.
An additional 760 people were arrested at checkpoints for reasons other than Covid-19-related, such as drink driving and drug offences.
Gardai have announced that they will be out in force during the upcoming Bank Holiday weekend to police the country’s roads and monitor compliance with lockdown rules.
