Gardaí in Co Donegal have tragically confirmed that an 11-year-old girl has died following a farming accident.
It is understood the girl was tragically killed following an incident with a tractor and a trailer on a farm in the Malin area.
Gardaí say the girl was taken to Altnagelvin Hospital but she was sadly pronounced dead a short time later.
They added that an investigation is currently ongoing and the Health and Safety Authority have been notified about the incident.
