
Gardaí in Dublin have confirmed that man in his 30s has been arrested this evening in connection with the murder of Eddie Hutch in February.
Mr Hutch Snr, aged 59, a taxi driver, from Poplar Row Dublin 3 was shot dead in his home on February 8. The shooting believed to be a part of an ongoing gangland feud saw Mr Hutch the brother of Gerry ‘The Monk’ Hutch being killed as a retaliation for the shooting of suspected gangland figure David Byrne just few days earlier at the Regency Hotel in Drumcondra.
Gardaí say a man was arrested earlier today in the Dublin area and is currently detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, and is being questioned at Mountjoy garda station.
