Gardai have detected over 1,000 drink of drug driving offences on Irish roads since lockdown began.
A total of 1,153 motorists were caught driving while under the influence of an intoxicant in the period between March 27 and today.
The latest figures show that 60 people have died on Irish roads this year so far. This figure represents a 17% increase on the same period last year.
