Gardai are today hunting for a gang suspected to be behind the failed attempt to steal an ATM in Ardee, Co. Louth, overnight.
The would-be thieves used a tractor and a digger, and while significant damage was caused to the Ulster Bank premises, they failed to retrieve the ATM.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who was in Ardee between 3am and 5am to contact Ardee Garda Station on 041 6871130, the Garda Confidential line on 1 800 666 111, or any garda station.
