Gardai have issued a stern warning to the public after a vicious car hijacking Limerick on Wednesday.
It’s understood that four men, one armed with a gun, managed to get a man out of his van and take off from the scene at Caherline in the east of Co. Limerick.
The driver works in the motor parts industry and could possibly have been targeted for carrying cash in his van.
Gardai rushed to the scene and deployed a helicopter to help the search from where the incident happened to Doon.
The driver was said to have been shocked but not injured. Gardai have said that the public need to be careful when stationery in traffic, especially at traffic lights.
