A woman in the US State of North Carolina has been arrested after she allegedly tied up her husband before cutting his penis off.
According to The New York Post, the woman Victoria Frabutt, 56, is alleged to have tied up her husband James, 61, before severing his manhood at their Newport home.
Speaking to The New York Post, Chief Detective Jason Wank, said they were alerted to the incident at approximately 4am on Tuesday morning.
Although Detective Wank said police are trying to determine why Mrs Frabutt carried out the act, he did say that James had been taken to a local hospital where he will undergo emergency surgery to reattach his penis.
Meanwhile Mrs Frabutt is facing charges of malicious castration and kidnapping.
It is understood that she is currently being held under a $100,000 bond and is due to appear before court on Wednesday.
