Gardai have launched an investigation following the death of a teenager at a school in the south of the country.
The incident happened at Skibbereen Community School on Tuesday.
It is understood that a 15-year-old male was rushed to hospital following an incident at the school grounds.
The teenager passed away in University Hospital Cork a short time later.
Gardai are treating the death as a ‘tragic accident.’
