Gardai have launched an investigation following the discovery of a second decapitated pet in the capital in less than a week.
The body of a white female cat was found in a green area in Ballyboden, south Dublin, on Thursday afternoon. The head had been removed.
Earlier in the week, the body of a bull terrier was found in a bin shed.
