Gardai have launched an investigation following a violent assault in an Irish city.
The incident happened in the Bishop’s Quay area in Limerick city shortly before midnight last night. The victim, a man in his 60s, was rushed to University Hospital Limerick in a critical condition.
Gardai are asking witnesses to contact Henry Street Garda Station on 061 212400, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.
