A gardai raid on a Covid-19 fraudster gang yielded €10k in cash and seven counterfeit passports.
It is understood that fraud detectives zeroed in on two addresses in north Dublin, from where six claims for the Covid-19 emergency payment had been made.
When gardai raided the properties, it emerged that they had been rented by members of a Romanian organised crime gang that is known to carry out fraudulent activities across Europe.
One person was arrested in connection with the incident.
