Gardai rushed to an area in Drumcondra, Dublin, following reports of a mass brawl between gangs of youths.
The incident happened just before 7.30pm on Friday evening on Drumcondra Road lower.
It is understood that the altercation might have been sparked by an earlier incident at a local match.
There were no reports of any injuries.
