As gardaĆ continue to search for a solution to the enigma surrounding Kyran Durnin’s assumed death, a man who was detained for his murder has been freed without being charged, reports Extra.
A man and a woman have been taken into custody by police in the past week in connection with the disappearance of a child from Drogheda, County Louth.
The man passed away yesterday, according to gardai.
Officers believe Kyran may have died in 2022 at the age of six and that a complex cover-up was carried out to hide his death and disappearance from the police, reports Extra.
The arrested woman, along with two others Kyran knows, are still the gardaĆ’s top suspects notwithstanding their release.
According to the gardaĆ, thorough searches have also been conducted at two premises in Drogheda.
In order to aid in the hunt for the small boy’s remains, cadaver dogs were used.
Officers are positive that the child’s death was the result of a conspiracy involving at least four individuals, reports Extra.
Every attempt is being made to solve the child’s abduction and alleged murder, according to Garda Commissioner Drew Harris yesterday.
