Gardaí in Dublin have confirmed they have seized fourteen pups at Dublin Port this morning.
Gardaí say the pups believed to be worth in the region of €17,000 were found in the boot of a car without water, food or ventilation.
It is understood the pups, were of various breeds, and were destined for the UK.
Thankfully the pups were healthy but they will require monitoring over the coming days before they will be put forward for adoption.
