Gardai seize seven puppies found inside a plastic box after a car was stopped at a checkpoint.
The vehicle was stopped on the M7 on August 29. The driver of the car, a male in his late teens, could not provide any paperwork for the animals. The pups were found to be in relatively good health, but were too young to be separated from their mother.
Gardai issued a speeding fine, and further investigations are ongoing.
