Gardai have warned social media users that they could face serious fines and even jail time if they’re caught sharing alleged images of ‘Boy A’ and/or ‘Boy B’ who were convicted of murdering 14-yr-old schoolgirl Ana Kriegel.
It’s been a case that’s gripped the nation with both 14-yr-old boys remaining anonymous in the media.
Publications were only able to use the terms ‘Boy A’ and ‘Boy B’ but some alleged images of both boys allegedly appeared on social media.
Gardai have warned that anyone found sharing the images could face fines of €10,000 or 3 years imprisonment.
It appears as though authorities are serious about this case as both Facebook and Twitter are being taken to court today to ensure that they assist with removing such material.
