Germany has announced a £2.4bn military aid package for Ukraine.
The massive package includes:
20 Marder infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs)
30 Leopard 1 tanks
15 Gepard anti-aircraft tanks
200 reconnaissance drones
Four additional Iris-T anti-aircraft systems, with extra ammunition
Artillery shells
Over 200 armored combat and logistics vehicles
All this war materiel will reinforce Ukraine’s newly formed mechanized brigades and strengthen the country’s defensive capabilities.
Such valuable aid contrasts starkly with the pathetic response of the Irish Government to the Ukrainian crisis, as all Ireland has done is take in tens of thousands of refugees that it cannot even house properly, causing even more misery to them.
