Louth TD Gerry Adams confirmed today that he will be leading Sinn Fein into the next general election.
Speaking about the incompent British Prime Minister Theresa May, Adams was asked whether he’d still be the Sinn Fein leader going into the next general election. He confirmed he would be before quickly moving on.
He commented about an effigy of Mr Adams hanging with a noose from a bonfire in the North to celebrate the 12th of July by saying:
“It’s not good for kids, good for harmony, not good for communities.
Many Orange men, particularly rural Orange men, are discommoded and embarrassed by it.”
