Get the bread in – Met Eireann braces and monitors Hurricane Lorenzo’s direction as it sets aim on Ireland

Hurricane Lorenzo has set its aim towards Ireland as we speak and shows no signs of abating. This has in turn made Met Eireann do around the clock checks on whether the storm is going to smash Ireland later this week.

If indeed the meteorological experts are correct and Hurricane Lorrenzo does indeed hit our shores, then it appears the West of Ireland will take the brunt before the storm heads east.

Lorenzo is currently tracking some 2,700km away from Ireland, moving in a northeasterly direction.

Met Eireann experts say that they still can’t predict what direction the hurricane will take, but given its current course, it will strike the west then possibly switch right and head across the country with massive winds and heavy rains. Their message is simple – make no mistake, Lorenzo is massive.

People are advised to share this information with their friends and be prepared if Lorenzo hits.
