
It’s Christmas week and it’s time to really get your act together and get cracking as to what’s need to get through the few days without having to leave the house.
Major supermarkets across the city have extended their Christmas opening hours to allow shoppers to pick up those festive essentials. Here are the opening hours of all major grocery stores:
Tesco:
Tesco is extending opening hours for last-minute shoppers this Christmas. Hours of operation vary by store, but generally speaking:
December 20: 8am to 10pm
December 21-23: 8am to midnight
Christmas Eve: 8am to 7pm
Christmas Day: Closed
St. Stephen’s Day: 10am to 8pm
December 27: 9am to 8pm
December 28-30: 8am to 10pm
New Year’s Eve: 8am to 8pm
New Year’s Day: 10am to 8pm
Aldi:
Aldi is increasing their opening hours from 8am during Christmas week so that shoppers have more time to pick up last-minute things.
It’s a great news for late shoppers also, with operating hours increased until 11pm. Stores will also be open until 7pm on Christmas Eve, but customers should check local store details online.
Aldi closes its branches as usual on Christmas Day and also keeps all branches closed on Christmas Day.
Most shops are open from 9am to 9pm between Christmas and New Year’s and until 7pm on New Year’s so shoppers can get everything they need to celebrate the new year.
