A 9-year-old girl has sadly died after she hung herself in New York it has been reported.
According to The New York Post, the girl Heaven Vega, was tragically found dead in her bedroom in New York’s Bronx by her mother Jennifer on Saturday.
It is understood that the young girl decided to take her own life after she got into a row with her mother who had forbidden her from viewing YouTube videos on her phone.
The New York Post say neighbours told them that the young girl and her mother argued all morning after her mother said apparently told her that it was too early to watch videos on the phone.
However tragically the young girl was found hung in her bedroom by her older sister a short time later.
Although emergency personnel tried desperately to resuscitate the girl she was sadly pronounced dead at St Barnabas Hospital, upon arrival.
Meanwhile police say they were made aware of the incident on Saturday morning and they have taken statements from the family and an investigation is currently ongoing.
