The hotel where the stabbing attack took place in Glasgow on Friday afternoon is currently being used to house migrants during the coronavirus pandemic.

Three people were killed after a man went on a stabbing rampage around Glasgow city centre, including the hotel.

The incident began at the Park Inn Hotel on West George Street, at around 1.30pm.

Three people are now confirmed dead, and six others are being treated in hospital. The suspect was shot dead by an armed police officer.

The Park Inn Hotel is closed for business but it’s currently being used to house asylum seekers.

Victims are aged between 17 and 53. Suspected Islamic terrorism has not been ruled out.
