Irish boxing has enjoyed more boxing success this afternoon as two more boxers have taken home gold medals at the European Games in Baku.
The first medal came when Olympic gold medal winner Katie Taylor won the Women’s Lightweight Championship after beating her French opponent Estelle Mossely. Whilst the second medal came when Michael O’Reilly produced an unbelievable upset in his match against the bookies favourite Xaybula Musalov in the men’s middleweight final.
The results make it a great week for Irish boxing as Ireland finished third in the medals table following Katie Taylor’s gold earlier this week.
