
A group of public servants are working to set up temporary funeral facilities to deal with the expected deaths from the Covid-19 outbreak.
During a briefing in government buildings, Liz Canavan, assistant secretary for social policy in the Taoiseach department, said the subject was very sensitive.
According to RTE, Ms Canavan said:
“We are still in the preparation phase to deal with the surge when it comes,”.
It was said that the construction industry has been given 48 hours to comply with social distancing guidelines.
