The Government has approved the budget and contract for the rollout of the much-debated National Broadband Plan.
The €3bn plan aims to bring high-speed internet access to remote and rural areas where service is currently poor or non-existent.
But don’t hold your breath to get connected fast, as it may be seven years before the rollout is complete.
